Description

  • FOSTREAT is a dry, white, powdered phosphate-based treatment specifically designed for use in boilers. It effectively precipitates calcium hardness as a non-adherent sludge and is readily soluble in water.

Purpose

  • When added to boiler water, FOSTREAT reacts with calcium hardness to prevent the formation of calcium carbonate, sulfate, or silicate scales. This reaction produces a non-adherent sludge (calcium phosphate) that remains suspended and can be removed through blowdown.
