Application

Rochem Filter Cleaner is supplied ready for use, ideal for cleaning Metal/Ceramic Oil filters and permanently fixed Oil Coolers or Heaters. These units often accumulate suspended particles in partially carbonized oils. Regular cleaning prevents the formation of stubborn coke-like deposits that are challenging to remove later on. It's equally effective for in-place cleaning (Circulation Method) and soaking of individual parts (Dip Tank Method). For heavy carbon deposits or faster cleaning, heating the Rochem Filter Cleaner to 49°C (120°F) increases solvency power fourfold. However, it's advised not to exceed 60°C (140°F), and avoid using heat in enclosed or unventilated spaces.

Instructions for Use

Dip Tank Method:

Immerse the parts to be cleaned in a suitable container filled with Rochem Filter Cleaner. Suspend the objects in a wire basket or from a wire, ensuring they are completely immersed in the solvent. Agitate the solvent if heavy deposits are present. Once clean, rinse the parts with water and dry by wiping or using compressed air. Stubborn deposits softened by Rochem Filter Cleaner can be brushed away with a stiff bristle brush. Heat can be used to reduce soaking time.

Circulation Method:

Remove excess oil from the fuel oil heater by blowing air or steam through the oil side. Establish the recirculation system involving a circulation pump, carbon remover reservoir, and temporary hoses or pipes. Circulate Rochem Filter Cleaner for 4 to 24 hours, adjusting duration based on deposit type and solvent temperature. Afterward, drain the solvent to the reservoir, flush the unit with flushing oil, steam, or water. Periodically replace the contaminated liquid with fresh Rochem Filter Cleaner.

Handling Instructions

Ensure adequate ventilation when using Rochem Filter Cleaner and avoid extreme heat or open flame. Prevent direct contact of eyes, skin, or clothing with the liquid. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
